    Window management in MT? !!!

I have a question as I am somewhat limited in with my current flatscreen:
How do you guys manage your settings/chart windows in MT?

I trade most of the time 2-3 currency pairs parallel ... and I want to see 15M and 5M timeframe for each pair ... so, that would be 4-6 chart windows, which is simply too small for me

I would like to have 15M and 5M in a split screen for each currency pair ... and then there should be the possibility to switch between 2-3 'split-screen settings' ... how do I set that up?

I tried using 'profiles' for each currency pair, but with no success ... every time I switch to a profile I get plain standard charts with none of my template settings and without indicators

Hi Marc, i think i can help you ,, In your MT4 screen after setting up your chart window, Select File>Profiles>Saves> Pop-up Box will appear and asked for your profile name.. Type your desired profile name then click ok...that's it.. Whenever you start mt4 simply go to profiles you will find on the list your previous save profile.

If you really want multiple chart window... you may try thinkorswim platform..they have unlimited demo account and near accurate quote..

Yes, that's what I tried ... it simply doesn't work ... at least it doesn't work on my Mac ... I'll haven't yet tried it on PC though ... ah, well, MT4 is one of the best and at the same time the most awkward program, I know

From what I know, teh way indicated by Pinoy is the best one. That's what I'm using. There is also a keyboard shortcut to switch between profiles easier: CTRL+F5. Anyway, I dont know anything about Macs
    Have a great weekend

It also can be a good idea to give the time frames different colors (background or indicators), so you can easily see if you are on the correct time frame.

I like using different color settings for the 1m and 5m time frames I use.

When executing a trade, dont rush look carefully. Hope you can recover your losses.
