There are differences of course between trading commodities, currencies or stocks. As far as I know the difference could be summarized as follow. Commodity markets are less liquid and as a consequence more volatile. Currencies (forex) are the most liquid market in the world working 24 hours /5 days a week and it is best for new traders to start. The volatility is smaller than commodities. The disadvantage is that the price movements are more complex and more difficult to predict. Stock trading could be done only during market hours – for US stocks it is between 14:30 and 20:00 GMT so you could trade on the stock market only during these specific hours. The advantage of stock trading is that there exist some very good opportunities there which are very high probability trades, but if some company news is in place we could see some fast and surprising moves there. I hope this will help you in selecting which market to trade. If you have any questions we are here to help.

If you mentioned stock market I think at the beginning the movements are much faster and dangerous and also difficult to predict, at the end hour there are also some strong momentum but not so strong as at the market open. The best time to enter into longer term position is in the middle of the session as all the movements there are more predictable and clear. If you trade very short term the best moments to enter a trade is few minutes after the market open if you think you see the market direction you could be faster than other market participants and take advantage of this.
