Chris Froome just took the lead! he blasted across the top of the Peyresourde in first place and now its downhill all the way to the finish! he's hitting 59 MPH, crazy freaking fast, deep in the drops taking the curves with no brakes. Wow this is awesome!

another great day, racing in the rain, on a long hilly stage. A break away with a few top riders put about 7 minutes on the peloton and Yellow Jersey. No change to the GC so far as I know at this time.

Another nice stage today. A little on the flat side, down in the south of France through the Languedoc region. An early break away was caught, there were quite a few crashes to break the peloton up but they came back together towards the end. The last few miles were dominated by another break away including the Yellow Jersey wearer C Froome who finished the day in 2nd and retains the race lead in the GC running. Tomorrow is the Le Mount Ventoux! One of the biggest mountains raced in the tour and a fantastic stage. If you only watch one stage this year tomorrow is about the best you will get. I can't wait.
