24Options changed their T&C for inactivity! Beware! !!!

Just in time, I discovered a mail by 24Option about the shorter inactivity period before you have to pay (a big) fee.

After 2 months inactivity, it's costing you already €80 (and higher after a longer time).

It's a bad development i.m.o. and reason for me to start looking for another broker, although I have no other complaints about 24Option.

I have a small account and sometimes don't trade for a few months in a row, so it could easily cost me nearly 1/6 of my account when being not active for a while.

For me it's a thumb down for 24Option!

So don't forget to check your last trading day when not very active!

Hey, can you link where you found it because I found this
under "General Fees" and it says 3 months inactivity:

"If the Trading Account is inactive for three months or more, the Company reserves
the right to charge a monthly account maintenance fee." (85€)

You can find it under their T&C, Point 24.1

It was 3 months, but now it's changed to 2

We don't have an option of suspending an account, should you decide not to trade for a while we recommend you to withdraw and then deposit again once you are ready to continue trading.

The account is NOT charged if it is empty.

If you are in need of more assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us. Just received now from customer support,I did send my request few days ago.

Yeah I saw that now. It also says that the fee increases
so after 6 months of inactivity it will cost you 200$€ per month.

For me personally, 2 months is ok but I remember when I was new and was just
learning and demo trading, I didn't touched my live account for like 4 months or so.

Thanks for sharing Seasalt! A warning for the brokers’ greed for more and more money! I never liked such things like inactivity fee and will never trade with a broker using such type of strategy to collect more income. I don’t have such long periods of inactivity in overall but when you trade with different brokers it is usual to trade with one of them more often than with the others. So not a good move from their side..
