How many demo trades before going live ? !!!

    Hi folks,

I'm currently testing the "simple balanced system" strat on the demo. Just wondering if I can get any advice as to how many demo
trades I should take before I attempt a 'Live' trade using this strategy.

I would suggest take your time. Don`t rush into the live trades. Test over at least a week, make sure you have the entries down, and you ITM more than OOTM. Try to understand why the signals went the way they did by looking at the price action beneath the indicators. When you do decide you are ready, start small.

Hope It goes ok, its a good system.

I'd like to suggest you to trade almost 100 trades per month the following

33% trades time frame expiry M5-M15
33% trades time frame expiry M15-M30
33% trades time frame expiry M30-H1

You can calculate success rate each time frame expiry separately above and compare with 54% as break even points trading

You can use the best success rate and in this case is time frame expiry

The second month you have to test the best success rate time frame expiry

Choose only one assets for trading

I hope so it will be helped.

Take it easy and go slow until you are confident. Probably will need about 3 months or more

It takes time, different for different people, the best answer is when you feel comfortable. Do you feel like the next trade you make will be a good one? are you confident you understand what you are doing? if the answers are yes then live money might be OK, if not then no.

My simple answer is: a lot If you want to test live trading than ok, but you need lot more learning to be sure in your strengths.

I normally test out a new strategy for 6-8 weeks at 10-15 trades a day. If it's doing really well, about 70% ITM or better, then I dive right in with real money. If I struggle in demo then it might be 3-4 months or never if I don't figure out why it loses.

    37, or 42, maybe 328.

Obliviously, only you will know the answer to that, after testing for a while.
Now you are viewing trading as just following a strategy and I can tell you already
that this approach will fail = the mechanical approach.
Try the strategy, but meanwhile, try to understand how the charts work.
Trends, support/resistance, patterns of the asset, understand volatility,
fundamentals, candlesticks, the indicators and most importantly:
    get experienced.
