    My Diary with Nadex !!!

I've had a nice run, imo, with trading both with BossCapital and Nadex. I am very new to BOs, but I do like the idea of sharing my "diary" as it pertains to Nadex. The reason I won't include BossC is because I'm looking at leaving them (have 1 trade left) and staying totally with just Nadex here out. I will admit though, when I first came into BO and started trading BO, I was moving on pure greed ambition. My first 10 trades were in the money. I like the quote from "Lord of War" to describe those first trades "Selling a gun [trading Binary Options] for the first time is a lot like having sex for the first time. You're excited but you don't really know what the hell you're doing. And some way, one way or another, it's over too fast." My first trades netted 600$+ and I was just going off of what the little lines were doing. The next three weeks...well you can guess it... OTM almost 90% of the time. Pure greed, it was gambling, that's all it was. So I stepped back, decided "hey lets learn something" and off on this road I am, going with a legit broker for a "Western" like me, learning the "rules of the road" as we go.

I guess to get started with the diary, I'll just post my Finace log as shown on Nadex and for now on, i'll just keep posting as I go along. A few notes, I follow The Geek a lot with his suggestions, mostly because I think he breaks it down the easiest for me to understand. I also use Apex Scanner to de-clutter alot of things on Nadex (not a fan of their UI). The scanner is free and isn't anything like a signaler or whatever, just filters the tickets into something better. My strategy really is just trend spotting. I don't use indicators, really because I don't understand most of them (still in the school). I search for my trend and then look for a ticket that seems like it has just enough risk to reward for me to go with it and then decide how the momentum is going. What i'd still like to learn and understand is how that momentum is affected say near the end of the expiration (last 10minutes have always been make it/break it for me). Also a few of my loses have been from again greed. I got worried because of 1 OTM possibly leading to two, and instead of just accepting that loss, I traded again. Then you can also resort to my "Fun Fact about Nadex" to find another issue I ran into 2x today before I realized what I was doing wrong.

in total, I've made only $59.7, thanks largely to the careless mistakes in my first two trades costing me 366$. I feel like I'm better equip to handle Nadex now, just have to stick to the few rules I've set for myself and know when to get out. Tonight for instance was a very profitable night, earning back my losses. Hopefully as I start learning more, adopting a more structured strategy, but still adhering to the rules, I hope to turn this into a more profitable venture. My short-term goal, is to bring my account to 1000$, to withdraw my initial investment and then take it from there.

Please feel free to critique my massive amounts of trades and overrall "jump right in". Like going out to the Casino, I've already managed this amount and prepared for it to be lost. I'm here because for me, this is a hobby, I love money and I love the markets and growing knowledge on how to be come a more well-rounded person. I'm not saying trust your money in my hands (but i'll take it if you want), but instead appreciate that I am having fun, I'm learning a lot, and thus far...making money :-P (soon I can pay for a little philippinian girl to clean my house for a few hours this week. And maybe next week. 60$bucks gets you something in some places.

    Cheers

Picked up my last trade for the evening.
EUR/JPY 138.60-139.60 with a Exp at 1am. I bought in while we were at 138.72 with the expectation that the market will either climb towards (but never hit) the ceiling. And any fears of following towards the floor are kept at bay by previous movements and overall upward trend. I bought in at 15$, so I expect a decent reward for my low risk.

    edit:
Current tick: 138.67 after just coming down the last hour and showing great strength to hold tight. if not bounce back up....we shall see.

    Edit:
...moved against me. Final transaction came to losing $12.75 due to moving against my trade but staying within the spread.

Made three trades the past 2 days:

    USD/JPY > 107.25 (3PM) (19-SEP-14) | Bought in at 51.5 with 2shares. Expected Profit if markets hold: 97$
    http://forums.binaryoptionsthatsuck....Call-on-USDJPY

Crude Oil (Nov) >93.00 (2:30PM) @ 43.5 | Put in a Sell order while following a webinar and testing out the proposed strategy and suggestion. Market took a complete dump on us yesterday in that call, WRONG WRONG WRONG. Lost $9

1 Wall St 30 (Dec) >17060 (4:15PM) @ 58.75 | Currently in another Webinar with the same group. Suggestion is to buy. I'd say again, they missed the mark YESTERDAY. But if the charts hold true, I do see the upward trend. I don't follow Indices and Commodities enough to have some insight, so if it doesn't work out, I'm sticking to my way of trading for now. Potential Profit 42$

I don't think I can stress enough how bad my greed can get ahold of me and make me make BAD trading decisions. If there was ever a time to prove that I'm not unstoppable, last night's stupidity was it.

5 USD/JPY >109.19 (1AM) @ 72.5 (360$)....USDJPY had strong BULLISH features. Everything about it looked great, I don't know what caused the resistence to hit like it did, but in the last 20mins, i remember I was ITM decided to play a game match online and when I checked back I saw the red. Not paying attention, not watchign for the resistence, I couldn't order a stop loss to turn it around when I "sobered" from this greedy trip.

Following that, I should have stopped trading for the night, but I didn't I made 3 more trades, 1 being OTM that I made frankly again based on emotion
    3 US 500 (Dec) >2010.0 (4:15PM) @ 44.5 (LOST ~20$ because I realized I was aimed in the wrong direction)
I since corrected myself and made the next two trades based on what I was seeing as a bearish market following my previous realization. Luckily the market agreed.
    1 SHORT US 500 (Dec) >2007.0 (4:15PM) @ 45.5 (54.5$ profit)
    1 SHORT US 500 (Dec) >2010.0 (4:15PM) @ 46.5 (53.5$ profit)

    Total tragedy:
    (-360) + (-20) + 54.5 + 53.5 = -272 in a day.

Moral....don't get emotion and don't get cocky. Stick to your strategy.
