    Newbie !!!

Hi all. A very well done and helpful site with heaps of information.

I've never traded before but I'm finding the analytically focused side to be fascinating. While I'm working my way through the school and the forums threads I expect to be using the inhouse platform a lot and learning heaps.

If I may make a suggestion based on my whole week of reading. A bit more detail on what things mean would help. For example when reading about MACD in the schoolroom we get a link to MACD strategies which is fantastic, really helpful and useful. However when we read the strategy it talks about the MACD moving into the "Overbought" or "Oversold" areas to give a signal, but neither article explains these terms. So a real noob (like me) is left wondering exactly what he is looking for and guessing what terms mean.

It's just a thought and I'm sure I'll pick it up anyway.

Cheers all. And I look forward to hanging around for a while.

    Hello and welcome to CT!

Don’t worry with time you’ll get familiar to the terms used in BO’s articles. Actually, I’ve always thought that making learning a little harder makes it sink better into your head. At least that is how it is with me

MACD is as helpful for Overbought and Oversold identification as a Moving Average or an ADX... or Bollinger Bands or many other indicators. But it was not built for that.
