Hot How To Pimp Your Profile !!!

We strive to touch on all areas of trading here at BOTS. We recently realized that we may have overlooked one important area, your profile! Obviously, your profile has nothing to do with trading options but we are not just traders here, we are social traders! As social traders a good profile is very important. It is not only the means by which you reach out to other traders, it is the way in which other traders can reach out to you. As a potential copy trader do you think you would be more inclined to follow someone with a kitschy name or some one who is clearly identified? As a blogger, tipster or guru do you think you can gain more followers by letting the community know who you are or by utilizing a snap shot of Bart Simpson? It only makes sense to think that the more you treat your profile professionally and like a business the more success you will have as a social trader be it as a follower, a leader or combination of both.

We have been working on a series of articles aimed at helping traders of all levels join the community and build a great profile. There are several articles ranging from basic info for newbies all the way up to including how to set up a blog, trading diary and social following using Communitraders Social Trading Platform. We welcome all comments and suggestions for building or promoting a profile. We are also now on the hunt for the best profiles, ideas for pimping a profile and ways for promoting yourself as a trade blogger. If you were unsure about it, the gauntlet has now been thrown down! I dare you to pimp your profile.

based on my two poll results so far, someone out there does not trust what they find on the internet, good. THat is why having a great profile, one that tells who you really are and how you really trade is so so important for us as social traders.

Hot Ideas For Pimping Your Profile !!!

This is the second installment in our series on How To Pimp Your Profile. Our intention is to get everyone thinking about how they look online, to the rest of the community be it new or experienced traders. Communitraders is a social trading and copy trading platform so it is vitally important for you to have a serious, informative and interesting profile so that other traders can learn more about you and how you are trading. Of course, if you just want to monkey around and be a copy trader it is not so important but if you want to create your own social trading network, build followers and make money form trading then your profile is the best tool in your arsenal.

Thanks a lot for this great article! It’s very useful in other ways too. Like for example, if you want to get a job and you’re using some of those jobs-related sites on the internet, your profile is the first thing a potential boss sees. And if it’s not leaving good impression there’s a 95% chance that you won’t even get to the interview. In Internet, appearance means everything.

Thank you so much for saying that. Profiles are important everywhere on the internet, especially as an ecommuter, telecommuter or other freelancer, not just for social trading. We will have more articles and post up soon with more information on how to create and maintain a profile, use CT as a trading diary and the two in combination to build a social trading network.

Your initiative is a great idea! I guess we often forget about this side of being a community member in the forum and sometimes this works as our disadvantage.

For me it is also vital to have great and well organized profile. It is something that every trader should prepare if he/she wants to be recognizable from the other traders around the world. The first look and of course the high quality web presence is vitally important for each trader.

    Hey RocketTrader,

I came to this thread today with an idea for a post and your post fit right in. I wanted to talk about presence and in particular profile pics. Pics are worth a thousand words and one of the first things a new trader will learn about you. This is more important for someone who wants to be a trading leader, professional, guru or tipster because this type of CT user needs to gain the trust of others and its easier to do that if they know who you are. If you were say an individual social trading leader you may want to stick to a head shot or other picture that reveals who you are. A logo or other picture is good provided it relates to a blog or other website presence where the trader is also profiled. Kitschy pictures may be fun to use and look at but do not really send the message that the trader is serious. businesses will likely have a logo or business emblem and that is a great place to start for a profile pic, especially if it or the business profile links back to a home page or other place that profiles who runs the business or service. the point is that your picture is one of many tools you have to provide other members of the community information on who you are, which in turn will lead to trust and possible profits when other traders choose to follow you.
