New Canadian options trader here !!!

Hey, just started playing around with binary options after not having much luck with the regular stock market. Have an account with 24option.

Hoping to learn more and maybe make enough that I can quit my job.

    Thanks.

    Hi Mate, Welcome aboard.

Seriously hoping you've no intentions of quitting your day job for the sake of binary options trading.

I've read that link. Not looking to run from my job right away. Need to have a real good balance that will carry me through the rough times. I have a lot of time to put this together. Not looking to get rich quick, just build it by being patient and waiting for the right trades. It would be to help supplement my current income with "play funds".

Just got a call from my broker today and will be scheduling a training session when I have the time for it. Want to learn some of the best ways to look for trades. Bollingers were working for me for a bit on the EUR/USD until volatility dried up. Was making money until then. Learn by doing. Need to find a good charting software, though. Tried the metatrader 5 app on my ipad, but it was lagging my broker feed. Might try the desktop program or metatrader 4. Was looking at equityfeeds but can't tell if they scan forex. Know them from OTC stock trading, but never tried them.

Welcome Doxen. Before you quit your job make sure your profits are constant and your profits can cover your livihood. Take it slow and steady, do not rush.

That's the plan. Build up nice and slow until I get to a point that I can sustain myself for a good period of time. As I said, not looking to leave my job right now for trading. Thank you.

My ultimate goal is to be able to do one or two trades a day, and then have the rest for myself.

That's a good idea. You will be able to concentrate on the most important trading opportunities and will trade much better than unfocused full time approach. My results have considerably improved after I restrict my trades to only 2-3 a day, so I believe it will be the same case with you.
