    Anyone skilled with Metaeditor? !!!

I modified some indicators for myself before, but as I am not a programmer I am stuck at the moment ...

Actually I just want to do some graphic cosmetics: I want to change a "Fisher_Yur4ik" indicator (which displays as a two colored histogram) into a two-colored single line indicator

Anyone know how that's done? Or if it even can be done?

    Hi marc,

I am not a programmer too and also have some problems when playing with some indicators and EA codes, but actually you can find help in forums like Metatrader community or by learning from some of the greatest manuals about that language which exist in the net. I started this way and understand some basics.

Thx for the tip, Dean ... do you think of www.mql4.com here? ... is that the 'official' MT community?
And as you mentioned it: how do you even change .ea4 without reverse engineering?

And one last question: in my MT in the indicator window is a link at the bottom reading something like "1587 more indicators online" ... but when I click it, nothing happens ... do I have to register somewhere? ... or where are these indis?

I have absolutely no coding skills so I can't help you there but I just want to give you a heads-up on the repainting nature of the Fisher. It will look very good if you scroll the chart back but in real time it's different.

Thanks Bogdan, yes I have noticed that ... but there are 'fixed' but slower versions, too
However, I think the original repainting version is still useful ... I'll have to examine that further, but it seems that (only) the crossing of the zero line is not repainting very much and in combination with other indicators it could be an early sign of a swing point ... so if you drop another indi for confirmation on top you get quite a good picture ... and because of that I would like to change the indi to a line

Yes, I know what you're saying. I tried to use a non-repainting indicator to confirm the signals of a repainting one but didnt manage to have consistent success with it.

Yep, you are right ... I am already done with this indi, too ... yesterday it looked like a viable idea, but today they were too much false signals ... at least I didn't waste my time to modifiy the indi
